Rich Presence can include the current track title, artist, playback state, timing, and audio format details such as codec and sample rate. From Neirose 1.3.0.0 it also shows the track’s album artwork; when a track has no artwork, or the artwork cannot be sent, the activity shows the Neirose logo. Neirose does not search other services for artwork. Neirose 1.0.9.0 and earlier may also send the title, artist, album, your interface language, and your region to YouTube Music to find public artwork.
Discord cannot read artwork from your PC, so the Neirose artwork relay temporarily serves a resized copy of the cover while you share. Only the image reaches the relay, never titles or file paths. Neirose creates a random key for your installation so the relay can tell installations apart through an anonymous install ID that is not linked to you. This is not a remote copy of your music library.
Read the Privacy Policy for the data practices and providers involved. Artwork and activity may take time to appear or be unavailable. Neirose retries a temporary artwork failure and refreshes artwork when track metadata changes; their failure does not stop playback.
Neirose clears its Discord presence when sharing is disabled. You can keep listening locally. If activity does not appear when enabled, follow Discord troubleshooting.
